Date renaming allows you to name items based on their creation or modification dates. It is accessed through the Actions button in the Info window toolbar, which brings up a window with several options.
Use the popup menu with two items, and to specify which date to use.
Some files, such as those created by some digital cameras, do not have valid creation and last modified dates. If the date you specified has not been set for a file being renamed, File Buddy will automatically use the other date instead.
The date format pop-up menu contains the basic date formats available for creating date strings. Each of these basic formats can be modified by the following options:
24-hour time
If on, the date formats will use a 24-hour clock; if off, they use a 12-hour clock and AM/PM as appropriate.
Include seconds
If on, date formats which include the time will include seconds.
Leading 0s
If on, date formats will prepend a '0' to single-digit days and months. Does not apply to full dates such a April 4, 2004.
4-digit years
If on, date formats will use the full 4-digit year in dates; if off, they will use 2-digit years. Does not apply to full dates such a April 4, 2004, which always use 4-digit years.
Separate date and time with
For date formats which include the time, this menu allows you to choose the text which appears between the date and the time.
